MacDonald, the father of Lex MacDonald, who returned by the Maunganui from Sydney, said that on account of a number of profitable contracts he had yet to fulfil, Lex would not return till September 27th. The party had been bombarded with offers to back the boy, but-ns funds for the trip had been provided in order to have his voice recorded, this came before everything else Mr MacDonald spoke of the 210 i broadcast. After his return to New Zealand Lex was booked to sing at Nelson, and there was also the possibility of a tour of the main centres.
