Arrangements have been made by the Post and Telegraph' Department and the Westland , Aero Club fpr t ; an aerial fcia.il flight, frofn iHokiti|gl|; to Waiho Gorge .and Okuru, SoutlsWestila;id; and return on Wednesday September 28, or on the fir&t fin© day after that.
Okuru is 120 miles south of Hokitika by steamer. It receives on© mail per fortnight. -
Squadron Leader McGregor, who took a mail from Wellington to Hokitika last year made th© first and only air mail flight down th© West (Coast. Consequently this will ibe the most southerly aiT mail flight on the ' western- -side of New Zealand.
The proposed itinerary for the southward trip will be : —Leave Hokitika, a.m.; arrive at Waiho Go r ge at 8.30 a.m. ; arrive at Okuru, 9.5 a.m. The schedule for the return flight has not been fixed at the present stage.
