The annual general, meetittg of the Lake Kanieri Boat Club Was held last evening when there was a large, at* attendance of members. ... ; v , One hew member was elected and one resignation accepted, . The balance sheet showed the Clue to be in a strong position financially.. The election of officers resulted, as follows: Patron, Dr. Teichehriann; president, Mr H. M. Coulson; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. J. Radford and F. Andrews; Commodore, Mr C. Hart; secretary, Mr M. F. Robilliard; assistant secretary, Mr W. E. Richards; committee, president, secretary, and Messrs R. McMillan, R. Lynn, and C. Hart. ; ;
It was decided to officially open the season with a regatta off Labour Day; when a number of visiting boats ate expected to take part/ and an endeavour is to be made to arrange for holding the South Island championship at that meeting. ■ ■ Mr J. Radford, presented the following trophies:—Teichelmann Cup to R. McMillan; Tullock Cup to F. Andrews; Mclntosh Cup to F. Andrews. ’ A vote of thanks was passed to the Press. ri'’ ' '• ",
At the conclusion of the meeting the retiring president, Mr Radford, who did not seek re-election, entertained the members at supper.
