MAN breaks HIS NECK. (Per Press Association — Copyright.y MASTERTON, September 16. Sidney Hector Dixon, forty-three, while engaged on Mr H. B. Maunsell’s property at Opaki in lopping .trees fell from a height of about twelve 1 feet, fractured the base of hie skull and breaking his neck. He leaves a wife and youhg child. Deceased served right through the war.
ALL. BLACK INJURED. CHRISTCHURCH, September 17. A. W. Roberts, tike Canterbury Rugby full-back, brol'a an ankle early in .the week when playing in a match for the Public Service team. He will not play again this season and will bo unable to play cricket for the Riccarton Club for some time,
