TANKER REACHES PORT. (United Presn Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) MONTREAL, September 16. Canadian aluminium products are o*oing to Russia, in exchange for Russian crude oil, to be refined here and placed on the Canadian market. Officials of the Aluminium Company of Canada said to-day that they were in 'effect, lmt not literally, trading Canadian aluminium for Russian oil, hut they gave pp further explanation. The oil tanker Aase Klrcrsk arrived here with 9000 tons of crude oil from datum, on the Black Sea. > Russian oil is not one of the commodities coming under the Canadian emir' rao, according to a statement made by the Department of National Revenue at Ottawa.
