BRITISH REVENUE
INCREASE SHOWN FOR. YEAR. DECREASE IN EXPENDITURE (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 14. The British Exchequer returns continue to show increase in revenue and decrease in expenditure, in comparison with last year. National revenue for the week-end-ed September 10, totalled £8,399,501 exceeding the expenditure by £300,546. The figures from April 1 to Septembe* 10, show customs receipts £73,127,000 an increase of £15,536,000 on last year. For the same period the 'jxcess of ordinary expenditure over revenue was reduced from £91,928,585, to £83,133,251, £28,135,920 being expended in paying the credit of £20,000,000 obtained from Franco in September 1931.
