RETURNING NEW ZEALANDERS. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, September 14. The Press Association’s representative cables that Raratonga was en fete on Monday when the chiefs joined the Resident Commissioner, Mr Ayson, in welcoming Mr,, Coates, the New Zealand and Australian delegations, the New Zealand Olympic team, and the Australian cricketers at a luncheon, which was served in the grounds of the royal palace to the accompaniment of native girls singing and dancing. A huge crowd afterwards adjourned to the sports ground. Fleetwood-Smith showed how to spin a ball, and then bowled to Bradman, who received an ovation on kitting several boundaries. Mr Coates kicked off m a football match between the Olympic team and burly barefooted natives. The New Zealanders won by 9 to 5.
