CONFERENCE at DUNEDIN.

WELLINGTON, September 12,
,At the monthly meeting bf the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, the Commissioner reported that all the necessary arrangements were being mad© for the coming conference of representatives of associations at Dunedin. It had been decided to hold the conference on October 11, to suit the convenience of farmers in the Southland, Otago and North Canterbury district, which would be represented at the conference.
In view, of th e success which attended previous conferences held at Hamilton land (Palmerston North, it was felt that the opportunity now afforded South Island Associations to discuss with representatives of the Board matters of difficulty or importance arising in the {administration of the system will be appreciated, and the 'holding r>f the conference will Inv.o a stimulating effect on the expansion of the scheme in the South Island where the progress s<"v far achieved has not kept pace wi-h that in the North Ulaiul.
