A profession'ai boxing contest: . for.. the middle-weight championship' of New Zealand, between George Ewan (Invercargill) list 111 b., and Les Adams (Invercargill) lOst 71b. resulted in a win on points at the end of tha fifteen rounds of hard fighting, for McEwun. v .
The crowd greeted the decision with prolonged hooting.
SOUTHLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS INVERCARGILL, September 7. The Southland boxing chamiopnsbips decided to-night resulted as follows Feather-weight, J. Mosley; lightweight, J. Reidy; welter, A. Sutherland; middle, W. Pasco (who defeated R. IJagrie, the Otago and Southland champion); light-heavy, F. Prendergast.
