WELLINGTON, September 8. [Regret at the retirement of Miss M. Dyer, Inspector in Domestic Science Subjects, was expressed at the annulal conference of the Technical Education Assn, yesterday. A motion, expressing appreciation of her services was carried. The opinion was expressed that the Education. ® partment bad mad© & serious mistake in allowing Miss Dyer to go, but there was some difference in opinion as to whether there should be a full-time inspector or whether a qualified woman should he associated with the Department in an advisory capacity. 'Finally a motion was passed suggesting the appointment of an adviser in the meantime, and arguing that the position again be permanently filled when finance permitted.
