ALEXANDER MINES, Alexander Mines ; gold return for August was as follows:—In tffe -battery department, there .was:, 490 tons of ore crushed, for .a yield of 448 ounces 2dwts of melted gold. In the cyanide department, there were 330 'tons of sands treated, Yfor a return of 121 ounces 10 dwts of bullion. The total estimated vrOue is £2,199 (exclusive of the premium on. the sale of gold abroad and the premium on enchange.)
