MOTOR ACCIDENTS
THREE INJURED
WHEN TWO CARS COLLIDE

AUCKLAND, Aug, 30
Three members of the same family were injured, two of them seriously, when a “babyj’ car in which they were riding, was'involved in a collision with a large car in Hamilton East this evening. The victims are Robert William Money, aged 71, .retired settler, who* has a fractured skull, liis condition being very serious. ' Mrs Grace Money, aged 67, who has a fracture and a dislocation of the right thigh, her condition being serious.
Miss Grace Money, the driver of the smaller car, who sustained cuts on the face and shock.
The driver of the larger car, Charles O’Brien, of Hamilton -East, escaped with a slight out on the face.
There were no eye-witnesses of the accident, and it is not known definitely how it occurred; After the smash, both cars were facing in the same direction;, Miss Money’s machine being cn the footpath, and the other car near the middle of the road,
The three passengers in MSjss Money’s car were- all taken to the Waikato Hospital. As recently as last Friday, Mr Money was awarded £928 damages in tjh|e Supreme Cbunt at Hamilton, against a motorist <who had knocked him off his bicycle as the result of an accident, which occurred' on' October 19th last year. Money received a comminuted fracture of the leg.' The hones had failed to knit, and he still had to wea r a support.
MONEY SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES.
HAMILTON, Aug. 31,
Robert William Moeny, aged 71, who was seriously injured in the motor collision at Hamilton East last evening, succumbed in the hospital early this morning. His wife and daughter, who were in the car with deceased, are progressing favourably.
RELIEF WORKER KILLED.,
THROWN OFF MOTOR TRUCK.
CHRISTCHURCH, Aug., 30,
Cornelius O’Neill, 55, was killed instantly iat Rangiora this afternoon, when he was thrown off a motortruck. O’Neill and another man were riding on the body of the truck and had wrapped themselves in a tarpaulin. A rope attached 1 to the tarpaulin became entangled in one of the dual rear wheels, The other man was flung clear, and was unhurt; but O'Neill was thrown against the under side of the truck, fracturing hia skull. O'Neill was a- relief worker, employed by the North Canterbury Electric Power Board. He leaves a wife and ten children.
