KILBRONEY DEAD. AUCKLAND, August 26. The d<pth occurred at Papatoetoe on Wednesday of the noted English stallion Kilbroney. He was in his twentysixth year, Kilbroney, who was a hay, was bred in England in I§o7. He was by The Wag (son of Orme) from Innismakil by Laveno (son of Bend Or) Among the many good horses he sired were Kilboy, The Banker, Concentrate, Itazzle Dazzle and Compris.

A LARGE ESTATE. MELBOURNE, August ?A Sir William McPherson, former Pre mier of’ Victoria, left an estate valuer) at £438,133. He bequeathed £IOOO each to five of his employees,' and a further £SOOO to all of his employees with ovdr five years’ service, provided <that they had not participated in any strike or been concerned in ary action to that end. The residue of the . estate, namely £438,000, goes to the three children of the testator. The deceased made some 'liberal bequests to charities during *h>s life time.
