THE WOOL TRADE
RISE IN VALUE EXPECTED
(Australian Press Association.)
SYDNEY, August 23,
The indications point to the prices of wool at the sales which are opening at Sydney on Monday, showing a rise of twenty per cent. above the June rates.
This idea of a large price rise is based on recent private sales, and also on the possibility of the wool clip being light in many areas, owing to the recent dry weather.
It is believed that China will buy four hundred thousand bales of wool this season.
