EMPLOYERS GRANT INCREASE.

WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. v The concession of increases in the rates of pay was a. feature of the Conciliation Council tp-day, in connection with the Wellington tailoresses’ dispute. On behalf of the employers, it was stated that ther were prepared to pay journey women £2 7s. 6d a week less 10 per cent, which , would give them £2 2s 9d a week or 4s 6d a week ifiore than the present award rate.
