A report from Paris says that Millet’s famous “Angelus” in the Louvre was slashed by a| knife and narrowly escaped complete ruin. Paul Guyara, a. visitor, suddenly drew a knife and struck the picture, but an attendant overpowered him. He wtes taken to the'police* staffin'"GuSSird 1 is apparently suffering from persecution mania. He has been out of work for 12 months. The : “Angelus” has five stabs and is slightly torn in places but can be restored. ,
