jVIOLLINSON CHANGES PLANS,

RETURN FLIGHT DEFERRED

RUGBY, Aug. 23

Mollinson has informed his wife by trans-Atlantic telephone that he intends to leave the United States ,in three or four days, and fly to Harbour Grace (Newfoundland) to prepare for the return flight across the Atlantic.

The “DVily Express” says that Mrs Amy (Johnson) Mollison, is planning during September to make the first Atlantic eastward flight ever made by a woman. SLe says that she probably will fly solo, though Captain Saul has tried to persuade her' to take a heavy passenger machine, so tliart he could go with, her as navigator. She remarked: Jim will be against it, but I hope to persuade him to agree.” It is gathered Mrs Mollinson also wants to fly next year from New York to Croydon, and thus be the first woman to cross the Atlantic both ways.

VON GKONIAU’IS WORLD FLIGHT

JUNEAU, Aug. 23

Von Gronau hopped off for Cordova (Alaska) at noon from Juneau. Count Von Gronau is en route to Cordova to make a trans-Pacifie flight to Japan, via the Aleutian Islands as part of his world-flight. A later message says that he arrived at Yakutat in Alaska.
