There was a slump to.day at Addington markets, in the .price of beef; but other lines sold wo 1 .,!. There was another over-supply of beef.; The bulk of the yarding was of good quality. Following a succession of heavy entries. however, the market was dull, ,with a"l of the grades '-easier. Bast heavy bullocks sold from'£9 7s 6d to £lO 2s 6d, 'one show bullock fetched .£ll 2s 6d ; heavy prime steers £8 l£s 6d to £9 12s 6'd ; prime £7 2g 6d to £8 17s 6d; medium £4 10s to £5 15s ; light to £3 12s fid. Prime heavy heifers sold up to l£B 12s 6d; prime £5 10s to £7 7s fid; medium £4 to £5 2s 6d. Extra heavy cows fetched up to £7 17s 6d • prime £5 2s 6d (to £6 2® 6d ; medium £3 17,s 6d to £4 7s fid*; light t-o 455. There was a am ail yarding of mutton. The market opened keenly at an advance up to 3s per head. Milk lambs realised <26s 4d to 29s 4d. There was only a sprinkling of store sheep, all being good breeding ewes, and they -sold on a better basis. There was a small yarding of fat pigs, with an improved demand for all weights, • especially handy 'weight porkers. Baconers were firm. Porkers sold from 27s 6d to 35s 6d ; heavy 38s to 46s 6d; choppers 50s to £6 16s, according to weight; ba-coners 50s to 57s 6d; heavy baconers £3 to £3 5s 6d ; extra heavy to £4 Is 6d. Store pigs were firm. .
