Masters) wrote in reference to the . school ago that legal opinion, had .been 'taken, and that it had been- found that children under six years could be admitted to schools at the beginn-ng of the term ini which they reached the age, provided they were not entered on the roll. There was no doubt that it was the manifest intention of the Legislature,rto restrict the age cf admission to six years, and the Minster fdt that boards should-and. ivou’d respect-tile intention. He felt, however, that the admissions should be made by Act of Parliament, and would be glad to have" the co-opera-
tion of the heard in giving effect- to! tho expressed intention of the Legislature. ' ; < r .-;, ’ It was announced that amending; legislation ijould be introduced at the next sessioh.
