Much interest is 'being shown in the coining match between the Westport and Hokitika district for the primary schools’ Newman Shield on Wednesday afternoon. The local team has been training together for some time, despite .the difficulty of meeting for practice. Greymouth and Reel ton districts have been eliminated and the winner of this match will hold the shield for a year. The team will arrive on Tuesday at 2.45 p.m. and will be met at the Post Office by billeters.
