CAIRO, August 17,

With the landing at Ismalia of the last batch of troops from Baghdad, whither they were sent'by air, owing to tribal disturbances, the Royal Air Force successfully carried out the transport of fourteen officers and 534 men over 1700 miles of px*acticallj waterless country. Altogether, lai-ghteeini Vickeirs-Vio-toria troop carrie's were employed, with an average load of five of a crew and eighteen soldiers. One machine, used to repair break clowns, carried two spare engines, and did valuable "work in changing engines in the desert.
