CANCER CAMPAIGN
RADIUM FOR WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, August 17. Some months ago the . Wellington Division'of the British Empire Cancer Campain, acting on the advice of its M'edie&i Committee, decided to purchase a further supply of radium. Tuis radium has been put up in quantities and containers suitable for a typo of internal cancer which is relatively common and extremely fatal. The amount of radium represented in this recent purchase is 60 milligrammes, or about one grain. This relatively small amount of radium, is, of course, extremely active, ' and it is divided up in eight four containing 13 milligrammes.
The radium ordered has just oome to hand, and has been entrusted to the Radium Department of the Wellington Hospital, ana it is being made immediately available for use in suitable cases.
