METHODIST CHURCH

INCORPORATION IN BRITAIN. iUnited Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, August 16. The Wesleyans, the, United, Methodist, and. the Primitive Methodists, will become one corporate body at the Albert Hall on September 20th, when, in the presence of the Duke and ; Duchess of York, and probably of the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of London, the three branches of the Methodist Church will be formally united.

The Presidents of the three existing bodies will mount' the platform with the Rev. John Scotfc Lidgett, who is the newly-elected President of the whole Methodist Church. All four will then sign a bond of union. This ceremony will mark the end of nineteen years of work. It will apply only to Britain, but it will have an important influence on Methodism in other countries.
