The annual report states:—For the season just ended, the'company has received from its .suppliers 395,4181bs of butter-fat, from which was manufactured 477,415 lbs. (213 tons 2 qr.'l/5 lbs.)of commercial butter, which is ail increase of 19 tons 6 cwt. J qr. 61bs. over .the previous season’s output. With the world depression and low market prices ruling, it- will be most gratifying to the - suppliers to hear of such a large increase due no doubt’,to the renewal of pastures • and several new supplers. The directors have pleasure in reporting another very successful season and although the market has been very depressed, the prices obtained were eijual to the highest offering when the butter landed in London. The butter market at the present time is not too encouraging, although it seems stabilised and we trust that the "market is on the mend." The company has paid for butter-fat supplied during the the- following prices:. July*/August Ud, September/October lOd, Novem l)er/Deeember 94, Jamiary/June 9d, and recommend ft final payment of lsd on ad butter-fat supplied, which, with cream cartage will mftke a gross average payment of IOJd for the season. Dairy Association’s Silver Cup for the' second year in succession, with the high average grade of 04.728 which is the highest grade in the history of the Association’s competition and which clearly shows that a high quality butter is maintained, as during the past five seasons every bo? of butter sent forward for export wa‘ graded Finest. In 1924, Mr McCa:lum wag appointed manager, the output then being 9S tons and now it is over 213 tons, an increase 0 f 115 tons the number of suppliers also having increased from 45 to 70, and we true' that the suppliers will again co-operate with the directors and manager ir maintaining the unrivalled quality of "Kokatahi” butter.
