GAS IN THE HOME

Gas in the home is now a popular convenience. Where heat is required, gas is the utility servant. It can be used f6r all domestic purposes, and all particulars relating to its use and cost may. be obtained from the local Gas Company. This old established Company has served the town well for many decades, and can deal with customers old and new on the best terms.

That gas has a great and growing vogue is instanced by its popular use in London. There gas is largely, used in street lighting, house lighting, cooking and heating purposes. Gas is supplied by private enterprise H;J namcly the London Gas Light, and CplfpiConipany and the South Metropolitan Gas Company. Four-fifths of the street; lamps of Great Britain are gas, and London has 100,000 gas lamps'. Many London County Council schools and buildings are heated and lighted by gas. On one London County Council housing estate of 22,400 houses, 16,700 are lighted by gas throughout, and the balance partly so, while every house is spplied with gas cookers and fires. The use of gas is thus well demonstrated, and it is not surprising to find it growing more popular the world over.
