' ,k - LONDON, August 12.,• President de Valera and his colleagues are reported to be now developing trade plans for a new Ireland while the Dail Eireann and the Senate members are on holiday. TO DEFEND , CONSTITUTION
LONDON, August 12.
“The Times” Dublin . correspondent says: The Irish Free State‘Army Comrades Association, comprising former members of the Free State Army, has issued an appeal for volunteers to assist in defending the Free State Constitution. The Association says in its appeal that it would a 1 way/s support the lawfully constituted Government, but that it*is opposed to Communism. It says it regards as .extremely dangerous the new fashion of branding as .traitors certain public men, and will resist all attempts at interfer-, irig with free speech, and will stand by ailv comrades marked down for persecution and attack. The Association says it regrets the,present Executive’s tolerance 1 of the presence cf arms in' the country ill defiance of the law. ■ •
