WELLINGTON, August 10, Over a period of years, Edgar Thomas Humphreys, examiner in the Post Office Savings Bank, converted £l7l to his own! use. When ho appeared before Mr Page, S.M., to-day, he pleaded guilty to forging and uttering a post office savings bank withdrawal slip for £IOO, and to nine charges of theft, as a servant of the Government, of money totalling £7l. He was conmi'ttcd to the Supreme Court for sentence.
