SCHOOL CONCERT

A SUCCESSFUL PRESENTATION

The annual school concert given, by the Hokitika District High School pupils took place in- the Princess Theatre l'ast evening, when there was a crowded and pleased audience present. Throughout the evening: 'the stage presented a vary attractive appetarance, ©specially was this so in the opening half when the younger scholars held sway. Dlressed in many bright colours the Fairy Queen and her .■at-tendants-.filled the stage and with . coloured Hight effects, the iscicne was a .very bright and effective one. The children gave their iolos and choruses brightly and the production moved smoothly throughout. The second half was Liken by the dlder pupils who presented three sketches, and a pretty wedding medley. The most effective of the sketches was that of H.M.S. Semaphore. The school orchestra supplied I the accompaniments under the baton of Miss Duff whiiie Miss Dale , bad charge in front of the stage production. ..
