A fire swept through more than two blocks of buildings near the south west side, of Chicago’s industrial area this afternoon, causing ’ damage estimated ,at. more, than six millions dollars. .Omaha Packing Company’s .plant was virtually destroyed, with, a loss of five millions. .« Two firemen and >a .i spectator were, 'injured. • . ; ■ ; . Three thousand hogs, eight hundred oattle: and seven hundred isheep were burned alive.
