The jury awarded David Browning, engineer in the employ of the . City Council, general damages of £1166 and £247 special damages in his action against Claude Thomas Arthur, chemist, of Kifflnrniei. Browning was working on a ladder at the Hataitai traffic tunnel, when Arthur’s motor car struck the! ladder-. Browning, fell on a concrete roadway, fracturing ; his pelvis and suffering other Injuries. X
