Plans have been an non need at Washington for a flight by two American aviators across the Himalayas, and I an application was made for permission to fly over foreign territory. One of tin* applicants was Lieutenant Williams; famous for his flying “stunts,” and formerly with the United States Navy. In IT'9 he attracted much attention by building a flying machine in an attempt to keep Great Britain from gaining permanent possession of the Schneider trophy. His seaplane was not entered because in tests n"ter completion it was unable to rise from the water.
I The other, Captain M’TCiuloy, was aerial, surveyor in the Boyd Antarctic i Expedition, and formed one of the crew- that flew over the South Bole. Being an expert in aerial photography, it is uudestood that he will take the pictures of the Himalayan flight.
