THE POULTRY SHOW
OPENED 1 AT SOLDIERS’ HA'LL. A SPLENDID EXHIBITION-. The Hokitika Poultry, Pig;on, Canary and Cat Club opi&ned their annual show in the So-di-tins’ Hall this afternoon when there* was a very fine display made. The entry list is a large one, and includes a narge number of exhibits from Can ter bury, which, arrived last night. Til© birds were all penned last nighty the large hall In |ing filled with cages, with an overflow in the supper room. The Show contains a fine lot of birds the quality being extra good. Old English Gam's are well represented, while the Utility classes have filled Well. There is a specially fine showing of bantams. Ducks arte a weak entry but the pigeon* classes are very attractive, and include an extra special display of bald heads, seven colours hieing shown.
