NEW PLYMOUTH, July 28.,,? ' A new system of payment for milk for cheese making is to be tried: /by Rahotu Dairy Coy., for the year. . It Is described as not being a method of payment for fat plus casein, butr a payment for butteifat on its eliehseprodueing capacity, which is determined by the ratio of casein to fat in the milk. ' Mr P. O. Neale scientist at _ the Hawera Dairy Laboratory, in conjunction with which the payment will be arrived at, said that at present, payment was made to the suppliers, for fat but it was not the fat that the Company sold. The farmers-who supplied the quality of milk which would make the greater quantity of cheese, were entitled to a greater return. ■
