COUNTER CLAIM
OWNER AND HORSE TRAINER

W.hen a case in which Francis G :i \y, horse trainer, of Trent,ham, claimed £3 l(k from Sir Kenneth Douglas, Bt., Wellington, for breaking in two horses, wins called in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, there was no appearance of the plaintiff, ancl the proceedings were struck out accordingly. 'A counterclaim, in which Sir Kenneth sued Gray for-£lO. 11s 6d,' representing the value of a horse .which had died while being broken in, was successful, Mr McNeil, IS.M., giving judgment for the full! amount with costs. It was alleged that Gray negligently and unskilfully .handled and managed the horse with the result that it was strangled.
