PRISONER’S RELEASE ORDERED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, July 26. After three hours’ Cabinet discussion, de. Valera ofdered the release of Gerald Dempsey, an officer in the ‘Republican Army, who, a fortnight ago, was charg. ed with illegal ; possession of firearms, and was sent to prison for three months for contempt of court. H*s release follows a number of stormy meetings organised -by the Republican Army demanding Dempsey’is release.
