N.Z. UNEMPLOYED

RELIEF COMMITTEE QUESTION

■(Per Press Association — Copyright.)

I CHRISTCHURCR, July 25. M a result, of protests that wer«' voiced in various parts of the Dominion, it is understood that the Unemployment Board does not intend to adhere strictly to its scheme for the; re-organi-crtjon of the Womens’ Unemployment Committees. The Board recently adopted certain recommendations made by the 'Special' Womens’ Unemployment Committee which investigated the position throughout the Dominion, and issued them •as instructions for. the general adoption arid guidance of . local committes. Some of the proposals were far-reaching, particularly that excluding the -representatives of Unions from the committees. » The upshot is believed to be that the Committees will function much .-the same as formerly./
