ARRIVAL- AT AUCKLAND

AUCKLAND, July 25
The English ' rugby league team of twenty-six players arrived to-day from Sydney to play a series of matches in New Zealand. The team is captained by Sullivan who is paying his third vis : t to New Zealand,, and managed by -Ylr G. F. Hutohins, who said that the attendances in Australian at the matches totalled 315,000 including 70,500 for the the first test in Sydney.
Th© total gross receipts were '£28,01)0. •He thought the present team a rather better balanced team than the on e which 'visited the Dominion four years ago.
One player, Butters, broke a bone i n his foot in the first match in Australia, and is still on crutches.
Sullivan said they should not have lost a match in Australia, but they were unlucky in the matter of injuries. The team was accorded a ; civic' reception to-day.
