OBJECTION TO SUSPENSION. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 25. A' very ; strong protest against the holding up of' work on the formation ef' Lewis Pass road-, to Westland was "irffade this morning by th e Christchurch Citizens’ 'Relief Committee, ,which decided to communicate with Cabinet and ask''-that authority be given! for the work toproceed. Members suggested that the Unemployment' Board had been overridden because of the objictions of the 'Railway Beard to the'work', yet' it was vitally necessary to get on with the' work.
