After Mr. de' Valera had moved disapproval of the 'Senate’s amendments To -the Emergency Bill, Mr Co.-:grave, amid applause from all'sides, urged the resumption of the settlement negotiations : , Mr Morrissey (Independent' Labour) declared that th e crisis was so terrible that a --National Government, and not a party, should face it Mr M’Gfidligian said that Mr O’Kelly and Mr Leniass had shown by subscribing to the loyal -address, which Mr O’Kelly had previously described as “h'ogwasH,” that they had turned their backs on their - friends’ home policy. In view of their attitude the Bill should be abandoned.
The Dail rejected the Seriate recommendations and passed the Emergency Bill. ,
The Mi-iJi 'Republicans (are .preparing an, intensive boycott of British goods, and bands of women are parading Dublin bearing anti-British placards. The Republican Army has called ori workers and farmers to proclaim unbending hostility to British Imperialism.
