REDUCED GOLD HOLDINGS.,

: The. lleiehsbank’s weekly statement rbveals a considerable decrease 1 in its gold-holdings amounting to 53,000,000 marks, mainly.due to the part-payments which bad. to be made on American credits. Despite the slight decrease iri the notes circulation ; the* cover ratio fell from 24.4 per cent to 23.5 per cent.
The Bourse opened weak and hesitant, largely .owing to apprehensions Caused by ‘the -increasng tension in domestic politics. Business was restricted- with a , prepOnderCnce of selling orders.., * A majority of the sections lost some ground, but a firmer tendency prevailed during the closing bo n- and the filial quotations only slightly below those of Saturday.
