BOXING

All UNPOPULAR DECISION

NEW ZEALANDER KNOCKED OUT

(Australian Press Association.)

SYDNEY, July 19

At the Stadium to-night there was a poor attendance. The main contest was between Tony Gora, 12st 61bs and Clyde Chastian 12st slb. The latter is young Stribling’s team-mate and sparring partner. In different, occasional flashes of brilliance, Chastian was the aggressor. In unorthodox style he gained a points verdict which was decidedly unpopular, and was vigorously hooted. The other contest iVas between the New Zealander, Ted Morgan, lOst 71bs., and Bobby Stone lOst 6|lbs. The latter knocked out Morgan in the first round with a fierce right swing to the point in a manner similar to that with which Hancock finished Morgan some weeks ago. Stone gamed the decision.
