Ohe of the pioneer residents of the Brunner district, Mrs Margaret Jane Todd, yesterday .passed a,my in her seventy-fifth year, after a somewhat lengthy illness. A native of Durham, England, the deceased, with her husband and sons, came to the West Cbrnst forL'-three years ago, taking up her residence at Dobson, where she had lived ever Alice, having been highly ■esteemed by all who knew her.
