FARMERS ROUSED
■ MASSED MEETING IN CANADA. PRIME MINISTER’S BLUNDER. (United Press Association—By'Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) y;x,- . OTTAWA, July 16. A mass meeting of ten thousand Ontario farmers greeted with jeers and boos an annou that Mr Bennett (Prime Minister) had refused to attend and hear their representations regarding agriculture for the Ottawa Conference.
Miss Agnes MacPhail, the only , "woman member of the Canadian House ■of Commons said that Mr Bennett had miade many blunders, but this was the worst one of all.
The delegation, when sent to call on the Premier, was told that he had ' a luncheon engagement with Lord Roth* ermere and that he would be busy until midnight. A committee of five was then deputed to stay in the capital and to demand a hearing.
