• The ! premises of F. D. Ho’.meis, draper- of Bigroel'l St., C-ljonville, -were burglarised. last night. A number of pairs [of silk stockings; two overcoats and” several cardigans were stolen.
-There was an attempted bu.glary S ah-''J. Haminond’s grocery store early : ->VkW' morning. Hammond’s place - had been entered on a- recent occasion and io he .decided to sleep at the rear of the shop. He heard the door being forced and got up and' switched loh the light and saw a burglar inside tlie shop. The latter beat a hasty retreat. -
