Eric James Richardson, aged 25, a labourer, pleaded guilty before Mr Page, S.M. to two charges of theft, and one of procuring a revolver (without a permit. v ., i; It was stated that, while employed as a stall assistant at ( 'the Winter Show, lie stole a gramophone, valued at £7, from an adjoining stall, also, early this m'orith that 111? was .given 28s to secure a room but' failed to do so and only returned 8s to, the. man who advanced the money. The revolver w r as discovered wlr.n the police searched his room, and tliis and 'ammunition was forfeited, and a fine of £5 imposed. . On the 'gramophone theft charge he got six months’, and tliieL months’ for stealing the money.
