AEROPLANE TESTED

SUCCESSFUL, FLIGHT. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) TIMARU, July 12. The testing of a local’y-built aeroplane caused great interest at the Timaru Airport ot Saltwater Greek. It is fitted ivith''dual controls and is of British vdesjTO^andXiujit..entirely of British a Hermes 100 horsepower engine and has also a stream-lined~head-rest with a small, locker at the rear of tiie pilot’s cockpit. The old machine; piloted by Mr W. E. ’ Clarke (who supervised the codstruction of the machine) took the air together with the- new machine, piloted by Squadron-Leader White.
