There are indications to-day, that the rebellion against the Brazilian Government which has centred for four days ■Around this, the wealthiest of the 'Southern cities, was spreading into a nationwide uprising. V V* Among these was a declaration from Pedro De Toledo, head of the revolutionary movement in Sao Paulo pro-’ vince, that states Rio Grande De Sul, and Minas Geraes 'also had announced their adherence to the movement. De Toledo announced the revolt chad no other purpose than, the resignation of the Provisional Government of President Vargas, and the substitution o| ( a constitutional regime. Rebel : forces : claimed success in field.
