, At a -meeting of - the committee- of the -New Zealand Hockey Assoeiat-oa, the Auckland -Association advised . that, H-. Jones, a member of t.h e New Zealand team to tour Australia, had met with an accident, and was unable to make the trip. The selection of i. player to fill the vacancy was left to the selectors'. : .
The Poverty Bay, Otago, and Busli Union Associations wrote voicing disapproval of,the method of the selection of the New Zealand team. The matter of- replying was left to Mr -S./ G. Vollaa’d and the secretary. The Poverty Bay-Association wrote 'hallenging for the New-Zealand chcl-v lenge shield. , ■
