CHEAPER SUGAR
SOUGHT IN AUSTRALIA.— -- (Australian Press Association.) BRISBANE, July 12. •Senator McLachlan, Assistant Federal /Minister, has arrived in t.h e sugar areas. He told the growers: “I come as an emissary of peace to try to get you voluntarily to agree to a revision of • the sugar agreement, which connotes a reduction in the price oi sugar to. the Australian people, in accordlance with the Prim© 'Minister’s policy ■speech. The Government is anxious that the sugar , interests should marie sacrifices at least equal to other industries.
