The late Sir John Rutherford’s' ten-year-old Solario, was i?old, at New-, market for forty-seven thousand guineas by Lord Glenely, on behalf oi a small syndicate. ’ It is believed to he the highest price ever paid at auction. Sir J. Rutherford bought Solario as a yearling for £3675, and later refused £IOO,OOO from the Acc Khan.
